How can I locate crossed pipework on my newly installed Greenstar boiler?
If the central heating flow and return pipe are connected the wrong way around, symptoms may include:
- Central heating return pipe getting hot instead of the flow pipe
- Boiler regularly firing on/off for short periods
- Possible overheat symptoms of an ‘E9’ code or a blue flashing light (which is normally off)
Symptoms of a crossed cold feed and domestic hot water out on the Greenstar boiler range may include:
- Boiler may not fire on demand from a hot tap
- Domestic hot water temperature may be excessively hot
